Modern Shoe, Inc. is based in beautiful historic downtown Provo, Utah. Has been since 1940. We have been satisfying the needs of our customers for 67 years. We are a FULL SERVICE business (see shoe repair below). Our four main areas of focus are:

1) Comfort footwear. We strive to stock comfort footwear in a range of vendors, styles, sizes, and widths to fit almost everyone. Brands like ECCO, Merrell, Dansko, Birkenstock, Keen, Chaco, and many more. We are constantly adding new styles to complement our already great selection! 2) Safety Toe Footwear. We stock a great selection of safety toe footwear from the best vendors that are out there. We keep up with the latest technologies. Brands like Wolverine, Timberland, Dr. Marten, Converse, Worx by Red Wing, and many more. We carry sizes and widths to fit almost everyone. 3) Therapeutic footwear. An ever increasing part of our business is therapeutic footwear and modifications for therapeutic purposes (for modifications - see shoe repair below). We carry shoes from PW Minor, Aetrex, New Balance, Dansko, and more. In womens therapeutic shoes we stock sizes all the way to 13 double wide. For men we go all the way to size 16 EEEEEE. We can modify most footwear per doctors prescriptions to help you with your needs. Doctor referrals are a significant part of our local business in downtown Provo.

4) Shoe Repair. Led by owner Tony Thomas (25 years experience). Our shoe repair staff can repair just about any boot or shoe. We do prescription work on doctor referrals. We fix purses, handbags, and of course shoes and boots. Our shoe repair services complement our great selection of shoes. When problems arise, we can repair them quickly (at no charge to the customer most of the time). We are also factory authorized to repair Red Wing shoes and boots, Danner boots, Birkenstock products, and we also are an authorized Vibram repair center.
